An interesting story behind the sale of this mixed media piece

I remember how I was doing it in July: summer breeze, curtains flowing, me pouring encaustics. The map that resonates with my name, I am drawn to it. I tear it off and use it in my piece. The map reads "Gayuga Lake".

The wonderful people who bought the piece are the owners of "Genesee Country Inn Bed and Breakfast", a historic building circa 1833, that is in the proximity of Cornell University. Guessed where it is? That's right, next to " Gayuga Lake". Talk about Serendipity!

Now on a permanent display at a "Genesee Country Inn Bed and Breakfast"
